Normally, boss fights in Yakuza only happen shirtless in the story's climax, but Lee fights a shirtless Majima early on in the latter's story because Majima had been receiving treatment from Makoto Makimura in Lee's massage clinic in Osaka, and Lee sees the demon tattoo and realizes Majima is a yakuza assassin sent to kill Makoto (who is the woman Lee was fighting for). There's a character that fits all of that if you give him amnesia and a miraculous survival like Shinji seems to have got: "God Hand" Wen Hai Lee from Yakuza 0. Oni Lee says that Lee is his name, and all that he can remember from his past mentions seeing a demon's face, which inspired his mask furthermore, he remembers fighting for a "her" whose face he can't remember.
